Fat Papi

Fat Papi is a rising Kurdish-Kiwi Synthclub and hip-hop artist. His journey began with humble beginnings, freestyling with friends over Skype before teaching himself how to produce and rap through years of self-learning and trial and error.

Growing up in Aotearoa, New Zealand, where putting yourself out there is often met with criticism, Fat Papi developed the confidence to embrace ambition and chase his goals. His Kurdish heritage instilled in him resilience, pride, and the belief to stand strong in his values while aiming for greatness. This mindset has allowed him to overcome adversity and continue pushing forward throughout his career.

After embracing the Synthclub sound pioneered by Prodshushy and Prodvalen, Fat Papi has developed a unique style that blends energetic production with his own distinct approach to hip-hop, creating a sound unlike any other artist.

Fat Papi’s mission is simple: to represent Kurdistan and Aotearoa New Zealand on the global stage and inspire others to believe that anything is possible.
